Worship

Our Worship Commission cares for all Sunday servants in the Gathering Hall and Sanctuary, including our outstanding St. Luke’s Choir. Many of our parishioners serve monthly as ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, and Vergers. The music at St. Luke’s is some of the finest in the Quad-Cities area, owing to our talented music director, Dennis Houser and the excellence of the acoustics in the Sanctuary, and often includes extra instruments above and beyond our fine organists. We even have a bell choir! We also regularly sponsor professional groups such as the Arizona Philharmonic and Prescott Pops instrumentalists in solo concerts both private and public, and are home to the Prescott Chorale, also under the direction of Dennis Houser.

St. Luke's Choir

Sing! Sing! Sing!

Hello St. Luke’s Congregation

Do you like to sing?  Do you sing on Sunday mornings on the hymns and the liturgy? If you do, the Choir of St. Luke’s choir needs YOU! The choir season begins this Wednesday, August 23 at 6:30 pm. There are no requirements except that you want to honor Our Lord with your voice! He wants to hear you sing!  Please consider joining the choir of St. Luke’s. You do not need a solo voice, nor previous experience. Just come to the choir loft on Wednesday and we will welcome you with open arms.

Dennis Houser, Music Director of St. Luke’s Episcopal

Altar Guild Volunteers are ALWAYS welcome!

There’s more to Altar Guild than just preparing the linens for Sunday service.  Contact the office at (928) 778-4499 for more information on how to get involved with preparing the Sanctuary and Chapel for worship. And perhaps you, too, can iron linens!

The St. Luke's Bell Choir

The St. Luke’s Bell Choir is currently on hiatus, but when the new season begins in September, we hope to have located a director for our five-octave bell choir.  St. Luke’s owns a beautiful set of Schulmerich Bells, and the music emanating from them is captivating. Contact the church office if you know someone who would be willing to take on the wonderful task of leading our ringers in worship.
