Christian Education

The Christian Education Commission oversees the Christian education of all age groups.  Within their purview lies Sunday School for Adults and Children, Men’s ministry, Women’s ministry, and Children’s ministry. The online program “ChurchNext” is utilized to create interesting and informative content to the Sunday School classes to promote walking closer with God and understanding our role as Christians in today’s society.

Our current class “Grace and Depression” runs through May 5. Click here for the participants’ guide

Beginning May 12 through June 2, join our study of “Civil Conversations in Uncivil Times” with Ray Suarez. Click here for participant’s guide

Education for Ministry (EFM)

All are called to ministry in one way or another; not necessarily for ordination, but to be a minister to
all! Education for Ministry (EFM) is a four-year course to help one find their place in the world and develop
and understand their own theology. Through the years, we study Old Testament, New Testament, church history, and theology. (Commitment is only required to one year at a time). EFM invokes reading the Bible, textbooks, and group discussions of all years, leading to theological reflection.

EFM meets once a week for 2-1/2 hours for nine months out of the year. A new group will be starting soon, and we always welcome and encourage new students. Please contact Leanne Bryan ([email protected]) or Kathy Pessin ([email protected]) for the next course schedule.
